Great Success of Valencia CF’s First Campus in Argentina
More than 100 players enjoyed the first edition of the campus, organized in collaboration with Club Atlético Pilar of Buenos Aires and Nitidia Sport
After a year of inactivity, the young players of Eagleclaw FC in Seattle - an associated club for which Valencia CF are a technical partner through the Valencia Discovery Program - have returned to competition. The coronavirus pandemic had interrupted official tournaments both in the US and its state, and it was not until the end of this February that matches could be resumed.
Six of the Eagleclaw FC teams participated in the first games of the PSPL (Puget Sound Premier League) on February 20th and 21st, in various locations in Washington state. Through their collaboration with Eagleclaw FC, the VCF Academy provides professional sports consultancy to the American club, with the aim of empowering elite teams as well as Eagleclaw FC coaches.
The Valencia Discovery Program players of Cadete and Juvenil age were able to show their skills on the field of play. Of note was a goal scored by Josh Chansee, starting in his own half and dribbling past several opposition players, or the goal scored from outside the area by Makana Brouns -Prince.
The PSPL competition will make a gradual return in the coming weeks, after training and friendly matches played in October began the comeback plan.
